Wax Melts

Wax melts are essentially wick-less segments of wax that have been expertly combined with blends of fragrance. Wax melts are used with a wax melt warmer to produce aroma in your home through heated aroma vapours travelling through the room.

We advise that our wax melts are best suited for tea-light warmers. Tea-lights come in a variety of sizes and we recommend 3-4 hour tea-lights for use with our ceramic warmers for safety reasons.

Place 1-2 segments of scented wax in the warmer well and place the ceramic wax warmer on a heat-proof surface that is out of the reach of children and pets and away from draughts, windows, reflective mirrors / surfaces or objects that can be subjected to damage from nearby heat. Place the tea-light in its cavity below the wax well. Light the tea light with care using an extended match or electric candle lighter. Never leave a burning tea-light unattended.

Cold throw and hot throw are technical terms that you may hear in the home fragrance industry. Cold throw represents the aromatic performance of an aroma product at room temperature. Similarly, hot throw represents the aromatic performance of a wax-based aroma product that has been melted via a heat source.

The duration of the scent throw can depend on multiple factors, from the initial aroma strength, to the warming method and environment of the room. On average we suggest that 10g of wax should produce aroma for approximately 8 hours.

We recommend changing your wax melt after the second 4 hour warming session. The process that we advise is to place a fresh 4 hour tea-light in its cavity below the wax well. Light the tea light with care using an extended match or electric candle lighter and place in the cavity below the wax well. Allow the old wax to warm slightly for 15 - 30 seconds. With a little pressure the wax should be able to be removed from the well using a large cotton wool pad.

Be mindful of the hot wax and avoid contact with skin, and dispose of used wax & cotton pads immediately. With a fresh cotton pad wipe away the remaining wax residue from the warmer well and dispose. The warmer will now be ready for new fresh wax melts to be warmed by the tea-light.

Place 1-2 segments of scented wax in the warmer well and place the ceramic wax warmer on a heat-proof surface that is out of the reach of children and pets and away from draughts, windows, reflective mirrors / surfaces or objects that can be subjected to damage from nearby heat. Never leave a burning tea-light unattended.

Yes! Once you place your wax in our ceramic warmers with a tea-light you can enjoy its aroma for 4 hours. At this point the warmer should be permitted to fully cool to room temperature for safety reasons as well as for the longevity benefits of your ceramic warmer. Once cooled, you may light a fresh 4 hour tea-light and warm the same wax.

We recommend using a 4 hour tea-light. Larger tea-lights pose as a fire risk due to the increased flame height and burn time of the candle.
